Colleagues brave
the Commission against the mafia and organized crime in the Campania regional council, chaired by Luciano Passariello, has decided to give institutional recognition to journalists who have distinguished themselves in Campania in the fight against organized crime and lawlessness.
For this reason, the Board has established an award that will be delivered
on 22 January 2010 at 11:30 am at the headquarters of the Regional Council (Memorial Hall in Nasiriyah).
"We felt it was - said Passariello - recognize the merits of the journalists,
through their research work of truth and transparency, have in recent years
marked by a strong civic engagement and institutional vigorous fight against crime. "
The journalists will be awarded at the end of a debate with the participation of:
Alessandro Pansa, the Prefect of Naples, Franco Roberti, Public Prosecutor at the Court of
Salerno, Raffaele Cantone, a judge at the Constitutional Court; Ottavio Lucarelli, president of
'Order of Journalists of Campania. Moderated by the Director of the Morning
Virman Cusenza.
The journalists who will be presented the award are: Barbara Cangiano, Rosaria
Capacchione, Federico Rosa, Bruno Guerrero, Vincent La Penna, Chiara Marasca, Enza
Nunziato, Robert Paul, Gennaro Scala and Conchita Sannino.
